Mission-Critical Power Start-up Challenges Addressed in Military Embedded Systems Article

November 28, 2017

Military Embedded SystemsMilitary Embedded Systems recently published an article explaining how to ensure flawless operation of rapid-start isolated power systems for mission-critical applications.

In the article Dave Berry, a principal applications engineer at Vicor, discusses how a power system can be designed to be active within milliseconds (ms) of the input power being applied. In it, he analyzes the impact of input filtering and output capacitance, and provides a guide to choosing the right components that enable wake-up times of less than 10ms.

If your system needs to be online within a few ms of power being applied, read “Mission-critical power start-up demands perfect performance every time”.
