In the article Dave Berry, a principal applications engineer at Vicor, discusses how a power system can be designed to be active within milliseconds (ms) of the input power being applied. In it, he analyzes the impact of input filtering and output capacitance, and provides a guide to choosing the right components that enable wake-up times of less than 10ms.
