ECN MagazineIn an interesting article published by ECN, Brian Davies from Anderson Power Products explains why new standards, and the availability of equipment that meets these standards, have moved 400 V High Voltage DC (HVDC) power distribution from theory to reality.

In the article, Brian highlights the HVDC demonstration that was shown at INTELEC 2014 as an example of real-world 400 V power systems. Anderson Power Products were one of our partners at the this event, along with other big names in the datacenter industry, including Emerson Network Power, Universal Electric Corporation, Intel Corporation, IBM, and Juniper Networks.

It was a privilege to have been part of such an important demonstration at INTELEC, which is still being used to show that HVDC is here to stay as the power source of choice in datacenters. To learn more about the progress of HVDC, read Brian’s article.
