Stephen Oliver to Present PSMA Power Technology Roadmap Webinar

HVDC WebinarsStephen Oliver, Vice President at Vicor’s VI Chip division, will present a webinar entitled High Voltage (HVDC) Distribution & Conversion in Datacenters, Aerospace, Microgrids & Transportation on Thursday, 10 July at 11am Eastern (4pm UK, 8am Pacific).

The webinar is part of the Power Sources Manufacturers’ Association (PSMA) Power Technology Roadmap Webinar series, and will address HVDC applications at 270 V, 380 V, 600 V and 700 V. The webinar will provide an overview of the current state of HVDC power distribution, addressing topics including:

  • Technical background behind HVDC distribution
  • Commercial and Industry factors driving the adoption of HVDC
  • Example HVDC power chains, related specifications, infrastructure and practical considerations
  • High efficiency topologies that enable HVDC
  • Ensuring legacy and new equipment needs are met

This webinar follows Stephen’s recent election to the board of the PSMA as the organization’s Vice President. A non-profit professional organization, the PSMA educates the electronics industry, academia, government and industry communities.
