The New website. Making it easier to design your power system

November 14, 2013

New Website Blog ImageIn conversations with power design engineers over the last year, we identified several areas where we could improve our website to make the design challenge easy.

As part of research we undertook engineers took us through their design process and how they needed a website to support that process. It was that information we used as the basis for the redesign and enhancement of

The areas where we focused our improvement efforts include making it easy to navigate, select, configure, architect and design advanced power systems.

In the area of navigation, we simplified the path towards finding products. Just select “Products” and you will be able to walk through a selection tree to find the product that fits you need.

If you know what specs you desire, the improved PowerBench Solution Selector on the home page allows you to find not only specific products but complete solutions from AC to the Point of Load. This tool is also a gateway to our new PowerBench Whiteboard and the improved PowerBench Simulator.

The WhiteBoard, enables designers to architect end-to-end power chain block diagrams and dynamically analyze the efficiency performance of their design. Our online Simulation tool gives designers the ability to model interactively the electrical and thermal performances of our power components in application-specific operating conditions. And now incorporates the added ability to simulate Vicor’s Factorized Power Architecture (FPA).

As a company innovation is at the heart of everything we do. Which means we understand the importance to engineers of information that will keep them at the forefront of technological advances. To support this need we’ve developed easy-to-access areas on our web site that include information on some of the latest innovations in power, and learning resources in the form of webinars and videos. This blog is, of course, another key area we use to keep you up to date on the latest innovations.
