Intelec 2013Vicor’s director of systems engineering, Maurizio Salato, will present technical papers discussing 380/400 VDC distribution for telecom and datacenter power applications during INTELEC® 2013. These presentations, which are part of the High Voltage DC technical program, were co-written with other leading power experts from across the industry.

The first paper, “380 VDC Ecosystem Development: Present Status and Future Challenges” will be presented with representatives from HP, Universal Electric Corporation, Juniper Networks and Emerson Network Power. Attendees will hear an overview and progress update about the ecosystem development and future direction for 380 VDC distribution in datacenter and telecom facilities.

“Power Adapter Design for Seamless Interface of Low Voltage Equipment to 400 VDC Distribution” will analyse and outline an architectural design of power electronic adapters for bridging new 400 VDC distribution infrastructure to conventional 12 V and 48 V backplanes. This session was written with representatives from Universal Electric Corporation and Emerson Network Power.

INTELEC®, the International Telecommunications Energy Conference, will be held on October 13 – 17, at the Congress Center in Hamburg, Germany and is one of the best places to learn about energy and power for communication systems. The conference brings together researchers, users and network operators with designers, manufacturers and distributors of power equipment. Maurizio’s presentations will be held on Monday, October 14, in Room 3.
