The 18 December issue of the German magazine Elektronik gives readers an opportunity to vote for their Top Products of the Year (»Produkt des Jahres 2013«), and we’re delighted that Vicor’s high-density AC Front End Module is shortlisted in the power supply (“Stromversorgung”) category.

Why should you vote for the AC Front End Module as one of the top products of the year?

The latest issue of How2Power Today includes an article on this product, “AC-DC Front End Sparks New Trends In Density, Efficiency And Flexibility”.  In the article writer Ashok Bindra examines how the product raises the bar on power density, efficiency and flexibility.

What does that mean in numbers?

Small size.  In the same footprint as a business card – and at just 9.55mm high – this new product delivers 330 W (at a power density of 121 W/in3).  As the module operates across a wide baseplate temperature range, from -55°C to 100°C, it also reduces both the size and cost of cooling components.

High efficiency.  An efficiency of more than 92% consistently across the worldwide mains cuts power losses by more than 50% compared to competing offerings.  To find out more about how this is achieved through our unique Adaptive Cell™ technology read the latest white paper on the topic.

Reduced development time by  integrating PFC, isolation, regulation and transient protection all in the same small package.

Voting has now closed.
