We’ve applied our expertise in power conversion technology to integrate ZVS “soft switching” topology with control circuitry, power semiconductors and support components in a high density 10 mm x 14 mm x 2.56 mm LGA System in Package (SiP). This patented ZVS topology enables high-frequency operation that maximizes efficiency by minimizing the significant switching losses associated with conventional buck regulators that use hard-switching topologies. The high switching frequency of the PI33XX series also reduces the size of the external filtering components, improving power density while enabling fast dynamic response to line and load transients. The Vicor buck regulators sustain high switching frequency all the way up to the rated input voltage without sacrificing efficiency.

One major advantage of the new buck regulators is the capability to step down from a higher voltage, such as 24 V, directly to the load, eliminating a second stage of conversion necessary with traditional buck regulators.

Picor ZVS buck regulators are uncomplicated and easy to use. You don’t have to be a power designer to develop a point of load solution with Vicor’s buck regulators.  PI33XX series buck regulators require only an external inductor and minimal ceramic capacitors for input and output filtering to form a complete high performance regulator. No frequency compensation, parametric settings or incremental external components are required. No design is needed. No programming and no resistors required. Pin-for-pin packages allow for easy changes to higher or lower current and voltage versions. The end result of the ease of use and other features is fast development time for your power design.

    Hello Ajit,

    I’m sorry we do not have an IC solution for AC to DC. However if you can consider a module solution Vicor has a variety of solutions that you can chose from. You can view these solutions on vicorpower.com.

    We need buck regulator for normal 230Vac to 48Vdc can suggest any other IC for this purpose which is has min components
