Exhibition PCIM 2012 inside the halls

Power Conversion Intelligent Motion (PCIM) show in Nuremberg, Germany is in full swing. This specialized power has been going from strength to strength, with more visitors coming from across Europe and one more hall added to accommodate record number of exhibitors this year. Vicor is showcasing its full range of modular power components and innovative solutions. This year, we teamed up with two distribution  partners: ACAL BFi (Stand 12 – 122); and Hy-Line Germany (Stand 12 – 328).

Jochen Krause, Vice President of Marketing at Hy-Line commented on the show:  “PCIM is a major electronics show in Europe. In fact, it is the only show that is dedicated to power in the region. All key power components and system providers are here and since our company is dedicated to power, it is a must for us to exhibit here as well.” On the quality of the visitors he added: “Unlike other shows, the majority of PCIM visitors are engineers rather than purchasing managers. This is very positive for us. Our company offers design support, so at this show we have a chance to engage with the right audience.”

Renewable energy and transportation are the key topics of the show. And Vicor is certainly a good fit for these applications since they require rugged solutions able to withstand extreme temperatures, shock and vibrations, as well as special voltage requirements.

Vicor was also selected to be part of the PCIM conference program.  Maurizio Salato, Vicor’s Director of Systems Engineering, was also presenting at the poster session on ‘Power Factor Correction Control for Optimal Converter Operations’ on Tuesday, May 8, 2012.

PCIM continues until Thursday, May 10, 2012.
